Childcare offer for students from 1st to 4th grade at Johannes introductory school will start up again on Tuesday April 21st.
The government asked the municipalities to expand the group of pupils who can receive childcare/educational offer at the school. Stavanger Municipality has decided to reopen school for pupils at the introductory school from Tuesday 21st of April.
This means that from Tuesday, April 21st we will provide childcare service for all pupils in 1st to 4th grade between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm every weekday ahead. It is possible that the school day may be extended gradually. SFO will not open yet.
The school offer will be based on health authorities' plans and current recommendations on distance, infection control and hand hygiene. It is important that you get to talk about these infection control rules with your child before they start school. Teachers will also go through these rules with the children on the first day and will teach them proper hand washing.
If your child has mild respiratory symptoms and/or is feeling sick please keep him/her at home. Children should stay at home until 1 day after they have been symptom-free.
Parents will receive an SMS with information about the reopening of school during Friday, April 17th.Parents will also be contacted by a mother language teacher or another staff member who will provide further information about the offer being provided, the infection control rules and answer any questions you may have related to the childcare offer.
If you or your child belong to a risk group, we would like to be notified as soon as possible, so that we may be able to organize the educational offer, if this is needed.
We are also working to get a partial teaching offer for the rest of the classes at the introductory school from April 27th. More information about this will come during week 17.
Welcome back to Johannes! We look forward to seeing your child again.
